IHHT Altitude Training in Munich – Intermittent Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy

Gentle breathing training & modern regeneration for everyday life

IHHT is a modern breathing therapy in which, through a mask, you alternately inhale phases with reduced oxygen levels (hypoxia) and phases with increased oxygen levels (hyperoxia). The stimulus is controlled, the application takes place in a relaxed seated or lying position, and is individually tailored to your goals.

Many patients use IHHT as a complementary therapy to support regeneration, energy, and stress balance. We place great importance on a sound indication, a calm procedure, and a transparent treatment plan.

IHHT therapy – the therapeutic approach

The body responds to alternating oxygen stimuli with adaptation processes. These principles are known from altitude training, but with IHHT they are used without physical exertion. The aim is to stimulate the body in a targeted way and support regulatory processes.

Services:

  • Individual medical history: We discuss your goals, symptoms, and possible contraindications.
  • Personalised protocols: Intervals and intensity are tailored to you.
  • Guided treatment: Calm administration while seated or lying down.
  • Monitoring: Relevant parameters are monitored during the session as needed.
  • Therapy planning: Recommendation of a suitable treatment frequency based on your goals.

Based on your individual starting point, we create a suitable setup that can be integrated optimally into your daily life.

Which nutrients do we test?

IHHT is often used to support overall well-being. Depending on the individual situation, the focus may include areas such as energy in everyday life, regeneration after exertion, stress resilience, and mental clarity.

In a brief preliminary consultation, we clarify which goals are realistic and whether IHHT is suitable for your situation. We deliberately communicate without making healing claims, as results can vary from person to person.

Possible goals:

  • More energy & vitality: Support for everyday performance
  • Regeneration: Complementary support after sport, stress, or intensive periods
  • Stress balance: Support for resilience and recovery (individual)
  • Focus & clarity: Many report improved mental stability (individual)

Who is IHHT suitable for?

IHHT may be a good option if you are looking for a structured, non-strenuous method that can be easily integrated into everyday life. Patients are particularly often interested in IHHT in cases of recurring exhaustion, low resilience, or the desire for better regeneration.

Suitable for the following concerns:

  • Exhaustion and “empty batteries” in everyday life
  • Regeneration after exertion (sport, travel, stress)
  • Desire for a clear well-being / longevity routine
  • Support for sleep and recovery (individual)

When should IHHT not be used?

To ensure safe treatment, we assess possible risks in advance. In the case of pre-existing conditions, we recommend consulting a physician.

Not suitable, or only after medical consultation, in cases of:

  • Pregnancy / breastfeeding
  • Acute infections, fever, unstable general condition
  • Severe, unstable cardiovascular disease
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Severe lung disease (e.g. advanced COPD)
  • Pronounced anxiety reactions related to the mask or breathing

Your path to IHHT therapy
